I'm curious to know if anyone has dealt with The Car Factory at www.kitcar.cc ?

Specifically who does he get his his body style from as listed at:

http://www.markalexandermiller.com/TheCarFactory/2005_demone.htm

The reason I asked, Is that I just purchased that Diablo from the person he sold it too.

I would say the car is about 90% done. 10% left is taking the interior to show quality. I want to dress the interior up with all the bell's and whistles.

I just went through hell with the DMV since The Car Factory sold it to the Virgina customer as a FIERO and when taking his title to FL DMV and they now physically inspect the cars would not accept the title as Fiero. Now registered correctly.

Any help would be appreciated

It looks like a little from different places. The door jambs, rockers and roof are D&R. The extended roof (7 inches) and the extra wide door jamb are a D&R giveaway.
The front bumper is nothing I have ever seen before. There has been a fairly good attempt to make the front bumper a 2001 style with some truck signal lights.
The deck lids all appear to be D&R but the doors have been reshaped in the mirror area.
If the builder was trying to pull off the 2001 look he should have filled in the top of fender air scoops and changed the rocker air scoop in front of the rear tires. The tail lights have been installed backwards too.
All things considered it looks like a really good fit and finish. While you are on the interior, hide that Fiero controller for the heater.

Sorry for rambling on but this just what I noticed off the top of my head while looking at the pictures.

Get the car finished so you can enjoy it. It will be a real crowd pleaser!

Jim

Thanks for the INFO.

Can you give me the correct placement for the tail light(s)

I thought I seen on eBay where D&R is up for sale?

AS you tell from the link in my original post, the interior is lacking attention to detail, who would be a good source for the parts to make more realistic?

jdinner, I see from your website you build the Diablos. What would it cost for me to have you bring the interior up to standard?

Also, the person who originally purchased the car from "The Car Factory" was 6'2" thus no seat rails on either driver or passenger seat, is this common? Or is that seat railing I can buy? I'm 5'6" and barely reach the pedals.

Better yet, is there seating "aftermarket" with rails I can buy?

HI Shadow, we sell a set of low prifile seat rails with a frame on the top to bolt the seat to. They are $50.00 per side.
e mail me and I'll send you a pic, I don't have them in the catalog yet. Total height is about 1.5"

I have a D&R interior and I am sure others do as well. IF you can't find anyone selling a set I can see about getting a copy made.

Thanks, I didn't know that about the Lambo lights, as a matter of fact, I knew NADDA about DIABLO's period.

The jump on the Diablo I purchase, was too great of a deal to pass-up. So I can afford to spend a little more to make the interior look as real as I can.
