i was thinking about a v6 or v8 for a lambo replica. but prefer a v6 because its cheaper. any ideas or proven methods of the best sounds for a v6? what would be the best way to go about this? thanks Question

Hi:


The 2 key ingredients are beats per second and pitch (tone).

Since you have a 6 cylinder you have 1/2 as many beats as a 12 cyl but you do have an easier job making harmonics of a 6 cyl match a 12 cyl.

The pitch or tone can be dealt with Acoustically or mechanically.
Acoustically the exhaust and routing can do some masking. There has been many posts on this. Also a cog belt drive on the front end accessories will create a whine of its own.

Best study the sound profiles ar get a recording of a real one so you know what you are trying to match.

That 3800 S/C of Italian Designes has got some pretty good tones. I heard that one runf without the full exhaust and t will get you attention PDQ.

thanks for the info, will a glass pack on a v6 sound work? some people said that it will sound good. is that true?

anymore clips of this? a v6 with glass packs? the other sound clip does not work anymore.
