For anyone looking to install a V8 into a Fiero, I made a 5 minute video of my setup. I posted it to my website. Enjoy!

One big problem with the Archie kit is the cut down front balancer. I have not been able to make it spin the alternator alone effectively and you have AC and PS added on too.
I had to make an oversized alternator pulley so that the belt did not slip. This makes it spin slower but at least I am not changing the belt every week.
I never had to remove a belt, it just burns up. With the larger pulley it works great except for extended stop and go traffic, you need to rev the engine once in a while to keep the alternator output up.
Good call on the added motor mount! The Archie kit will shear the front 4 bolts and crack the transmission case if it was installed the way it was intended. I had to do the same thing.

Jim

Thanks Jim, I'll see if I have the same issues with the alternator belt. I did buy a spare so I have it ready to go if/when I get stranded. I have about 50% of the pulley in contact with the belt, so we'll see if that is enough. If not, I will have to take your approach. Thanks for the feedback. -Ken
