Hello. My name is Lucian and i live in Constanta, Romania.
A while ago i started dreaming about building my own Countach but until i gather the money i decided to gather the info about all the little pieces that give the car its personality. And to build everything i could. Just to keep the dream alive...
So i started building the dash indicators.
For anyone interested i decided to make a small tutorial.
First i started by drawing them in Corel. Then i sent the drawings to a design firm that carved them using a CNC machine.
Then they arrived home. The joy, the joy
The next step was to fill up the carved images using a syringe needle and acrylic paint.
Then i gently scratched the paint that went over the margins with a toothpick.
Hope you enjoyed it.

PS: For everyone that needs the Corel vectorial drawings, PM me.
Cheers, Lucian

Lucian,

Welcome to the site.....I dont want to rain on your parade however you can buy the actual whole light assembly for around $6 USD each. The only drawback is you have to purchase a pack of 5. You did a fantastic job though!

Hi! Thanks for the support. The fact is i decided to make them after waiting for some time for a reply from Cobospa and i am very satisfied about the outcome.
The switches are next. Do you happen to know if somebody makes them? Here in Romania we have a car Dacia 1310 (aka Renault 12) with similar switches but not quite the same and i am kind of a perfectionist. Thanks again. Keep in touch.
Cheers. Lucian Wink

Lucian,

You did an awesome job. I also had the same problem with Cobo and finally got through to a supplier here in the USA. I am not sure what it is about Cobo but they sure do not have good customer service. They most likely dont care about the little guys. It was very frustrating but I have a contact. I think people would buy your product as it appears you did a great job.
