Hi All,

Just thought I would swing by from the UK. I am in the process of finishing a Countach that was started 18 years ago.

Its a Mirage MK1 which is being modded to MK2, Chevy 5.7 engine, bespoke x-over exhaust.

I have had this for about 8 months and getting there slowly.

I have been intouch with Will, who has provided the plexi covers for the front ( and are top notch), also, Cliff, who is providing surrounds for said covers, rear quarters and also making a RHD wiper. Hopefully these will be with me soon ( Cliff? )

I will start a build thread if someone can point me in the right direction?

Thanks and looking forward to getting road bound, once I can find some replica wheels ( not Image wheels)

Cheers All

Steve

Steve,

Unfortunately you cant upload photos directly. You will have to use a link from the UK site(like me) or other outside photo service link. We have not been able to add photos for years. Not sure why though.

Looking forward to seeing what you are doing. UK always had some nice Countach kits available.

Hi All,

Well, due to the roof and top of the doors not correct on the MK1, I am having both chopped out and then replaced from MK2 mould.

Also, the front bumper is droopy so this being chopped and replaced. The rear quarter lights are flat, so they are being changed.

I still need to find damn 5000qv wheels, DC may do a special run if I can drum up enough interest.

Hoping to be a nice as yours 88.5 Smile
Keep you posted

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

Those wheels are hard to get. Seems as though they only make them when there is a big order for them. Then add the tires on top of that. I am also redoing my front bumper on my car. The one on the fiberglass body I have was so warped that it couldnt be staightened out. Don from BC was here in Phoenix last month and he came over to make molds of the wheel flares and to also straighten on the front bumper but unfortunately it was to far gone. While he worked on the flares I made a front bumper to form a mold from. Don took it with him to BC to finish it up so he can make one for him and myself.

Which lights are you talking about that are flat?
