Well, we all know the builders aren't building their own cams, but they (rightly) are protecting their sources....

Crane and others used to build custom cams if someone had originals and specs on what they wanted. I'm sure it's not cheap, and even with a GP, would probably be more than Henry's. Still, it wouldn't hurt to check.

Nah, nothing like that, just a bad memory

hahahahaha

I am in the middle of moving back to Florida, as soon as I find the info, I will post it.

While I am thinking about it, Dave (I think that is his name) at memphis motorsports has supposedly done a lot of work with the heads on these motors. They have been a good source of info also.

Crank is forged as std and the rods are lifted from an M20 were they are proven to 400bhp reliably (for 6 obviously so 800bhp for the 12).
The valves are soldium filled as std so don't need replacing unless you wish to enlarge them and it is possible to fit M3 springs.

Also worth noting that to get well over 500ftlb from a turbos setup requires only 7-10psi rather than high boost... the std rings can take 15psi and the pistons will only suffer if you fuel it wrong (hence I am using motec).

As I said, people have done this so its not all theory..... the biggest problem is the heads and the fact that the intake is tuned for low down torque so getting revs out of them isn't easy as they simply struggle to breath.

I actually hope to fit cams and change the intake to get the revs to 7000rpm so I am very interested in any cam info that people get...

Are there 850 CSI cams available to get proper lift or are they hard to come by. I would say probably hard to come by since there are so very few CSI's out there. I imagine a set from BMW if you could get them are at least $1000.00 or more. Maybe this isnt radical enough???? I guess it only produced 380HP not near enough.

The only one of the major cam builders that I have spoken to that is willing to do the work is Web Cams. I have only heard good things about them in the motorcycle world so I wouldnt hesitate to use them

They will make a crank to your specs from billet for about 3500
