There has been some interest in doing this in the past but there are several things that need to be addressed to make it fit. I have someone who has designed an adapter to do this. If I get enough interest I will work with him to make the adapters. Anyone??

944 is like audi but has no clutch. the clutch is up front at the engine in the torque tube bell not in the trans bell.it has the same problems the a01 audi haswill need dinnerplate.

The LS to 944 trans axle uses a Ls flywheel and starter and a 10.5" clutch .good for 500hp.The adapter for the audi uses a small clutch an a special starter and the gearing isn't as good. The 944 has a 3.37-1 rear axle ratio great for the highway for an Ls engine.

Even though I don't need this transaxle for my build, I can see the advantage of making this available for builders. It sounds like a worthwhile project and the approach to making it work is valid.
Good thinking.
