An option you may want to check out for shipping option is Greyhound Freight. Had a 26 pound 2' x 2' x 3' package to be shipped from Pa. FedEx was over $240, UPS $207, Greyhound $54.50.

I got some part from Ron in BC , COD and was really cheap by Greyhound.

Dale is right. I've used Greyhound to ship a seat shell and it was only $50+ (don't remember the exact amount). I wrapped it in bubble wrap and handed it over to them without a box. They accepted it and it arrived in good condition. Definitely the way to go for larger items.
