I know of a couple of people who are using the Audi automatic and there are several people who have used the Fiero automatic. So it is just a matter of how you want to do your set-up. If you are using a Fiero donor, than just go with the Fiero automatic. If you want a longitudinal set-up than run it with an Audi automatic out of an 80's Audi 5000.

Im looking to install my 3.8 SC V6 w/ an Audi Automatic Longitudinal setup! I have found a good 1988 Audi 5000 Automatic transaxle, but not sure what the code means. (Code RDN) can anyone explain that to me. Thanks

There's a car on Ebay right now with an LT1 and Audi automatic. First one I've seen in a replica. I would look for something with an overdrive. A 3.45 final drive and no overdrive will be hell on the highway.

I own an An '84 Audi 5000s, with the 3 speed, and the highway sucks. At 65 MPH im pushin the 5 cylinder at like 4500 rpm, and i can only go 75-85mph for 20 or so minutes before the engine starts to whine. Im looking to get rid of this transmission, good torque, bad speed.

I would imagine that the trans adapter plate should be the same, you would need a spacer for the torq converter
