I think you might be on your own here, those engines seem to be quite rare

Right.
I'm in Aus. and we get em From Japan.
My reason for asking is I have heard that the BMW V12 isn't all that popular. Also size, I believe (but not sure why) that it is difficult to fit a 12 in a Countach engine bay. I have seen one or two on the net and was trying to work out what is lost in doing so and what transmissions are used. Would be GREAT if someone had a drawing (blueprint) of how an 8 and a 12 fits.

Unfortunately, there is not enough interest in replica's out here so I am not able to go to shows and look for myself and chat with fellow owners.

It's a whole different planet down here.
