Talk to EMartin. I got exactly same setup. He made an adapter for me. If the guy that you buying transmission from still has porsche axles, get them if you are making your own axles. You will need the ends.

Here is my axle 2002 cayman/boxster to corvette hubs.

Did you (or do you plan to) reprogram the computer?
Hasn't it been written here that the Boxster transaxle is of marginal strength for the LS1?
Also, KEP may have an adapter set for your engine/tx combination.

I really set my mind on boxster transmission because I want a 6 speed and It doesn't cost a fortune ($1600-1700). Do you know any other 6 speed tranny that I can use??

Don,

Was that questions for me? I have not reprogram ECU. Again, i need to see how it will behave during driving, so i can make adjustmentsif necessary.

I just finished talking to Roger at Californiamotorsport I asked him about g86 and g50/20 which is also 6speed he said that both trans. Are not bad, both have their pros and cons g50 is a bit stronger but by the end i can buy 3 g86 instead of 1 g50/20 and LSD on that trans. Is not too good.

Quso,

I think the survival of that box will depend on how you drive it, I am using the 01X in mine which is nearly the same as yours but it is from a diesel
