Hello All,

On my IFG Diablo 60 the glass is not going up and down smoothly, typical issue with old fiero motors that are going bad as well as the channels not working properly (Glass is not balanced) and of course the doors are bonded together, IFG used to recycle the old fiero window regulators, So before I tear apart the doors does any one have any suggestions as to what I need to do? What have you all do to replace the 30 year old Fiero window regulator motors and what did you replace them with, how about the channels? does any one have a build vid that uses the old fiero motors? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
CCIE

I don't have much information but I swapped out some Fiero motors and installed Cavalier motors onto the Fiero regulators. They are slightly different but work much better.

Is there any thing inherently wrong ot unsuitable about the Fiero regulators? Is it just the motors?
The doors are my planned winter project. I have three Fiero doors (all working in every regard before the cars were dismantled) and I had planned to use as many parts as possible in my 6.0

D....

To avoid the headacks (or at least limit them) I highly recommend using newer parts when possible. Doors are a "barking crazy rabies infested female dog" so plan ahead and use quality parts where possible. just my .05 cents (most of my $$$ goes to funding my wife's crazy shopping habbit, sorry)

CCIC, I used the Cavalier motors for my doors. I believe the trick is just the alignment of the glass in the tracks. I tried to make the tracks pretty adjustable then used silicone spray to make the glass slide easier. Some window videos are posted on my YouTube channel and more are coming. -Ken
