Has anyone lowered the floorpan to get more headroom?

My NAERC had this built into the plans. Although I sat in Dale's car and it had no head room. Greg 6'2 Dale 5,5.

khs_racer,
How much did you lower it by?
Was it just the areas below the seats?
Cheers,
J

We offer that as an option in our chassis. I also have a few other solutions in the building tips section on my site.

It helps a little, but you don't want to go overboard and be hangin out the bottom of the car by 3" either.

Basically cheat wherever you can and it will add up to a little more room, which is better than nothing.

Mike

I dropped mine 1". It was the area below the seats and enough for the set rail sliders to have clearance front and back.
