I bought a Fiero with the 2.8L V6, Has anyone here ever set one of these up for more power? I haven't started doing anything yet with this fiero and it is the first one I have had. I'm interested in using a intercooled forced induction system but if you have any other suggestions that could be better or a particular turbo system that is optimal for this engine let me know. I want atleast 200HP. Any ideas? -Thanks members! -Mike

I had a friend of mine place a turbo on the 2.8 and it was very impressive.
The only issue is forced induction will increase intake temps in turn increase exhaust temps. It can work but better plan on buying lots of heat wrap. Protect everything it gets hot back there.

That makes sense it looks like a tight fit back there.

You need to hit Pennock's and see what guys are doing there. I believe that the general consensus (though I could be mistaken), is that in order to get numbers like what you're wanting, an engine swap is more reliable. Most people will probably point you to the 3800 engine. Anhow, the link is: www.fiero.nl/cgi-bin/fiero/ultimate.cgi?action=intro

3.8 isn't a bad idea but it costs money and if you got a healthy 2.8 why swap it?.
