Post subject: Highlighted icons don't work properly  PostPosted: Jul 02, 2008 - 01:14 PM

When I first open the forum, the topics I haven't read are highlighted but after I open the first topic and return to the main menu, all the icons have returned to non-highlighted, as though I have read all.
I have to make a list of the unread topics before I open any to keep track of what is still to be read.
This happened after the site was re-opened the last time after the shutdown.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem.
Also, occasionally, when I open the site, I am not automatically logged in and must enter my sign-in and password. Not awful, just annoying.

FAmonmouth,
That seemed like a good idea (use the "new since last visit" link) but I tried it and all the new messages disappeared after I opened the first one. That feature must work just like the highlighted icons.

Manager, is there any progress on this issue?
I usually make a list of the new post topics before I proceed just so I don't miss any but that doesn't help with the individual posts in each topic. Those I have to look at the date of the post to guess if I have seen them.
I know this isn't the most serious problem in the world but it is part of the collective life annoyances. Fixing this will make a lot of us grateful.
Thanks
