Atleast the over spray made my hands blue Very Happy I spent the weekend putting on primer wet sanding and then throwing it back in the booth and adding some color. Bake at 160 for thirty minutes and its done just like making cookies. It was 2 very very long days but I can say a little wet sanding and buffing and it will be looking pretty good. Besides the sore shoulder, back and bleeding fingers it went pertty good. Ill get some pictures this weekend but here is a couple for now http://s486.photobucket.com/albums/rr227/leppard20/ . I need to figure out how to add pictures in my album and then Ill post them.

It is Super Sonic Blue Pearl. Depending on the light it can have a purple haze to it. I thought it was different so thats why I picked it.

That looks GREAT. I'm going with the dark blue also on my Roadster. I think it's called Chiaro blue (Lamborghini Color).

I did do all of the body work and paint myself. Thats why it is taking so long to complete. Im in I.T. so body work is a new challange for me. I painted it last weekend and I used Dupont paint and their best clear. It went on real easy my biggest problem was how wide the car is I bumped into it 2 times while puttin on the clear so I have some wet sanding to do to finish it up. I like how it is blue if you look at it straight but gets a purple look when the light is on a angle. It took a while to find a color that was different I sat and paged through the paint chip book until I found one I liked.

I live about 25 miles from Carlisle and im hopeing to have it on the road next year so I can bring it. Im planning to see if I can get a place in the grass right behind the building that RT is in. Ill know more in the spring.

Jimbo,
I am very impressed! You have to be excited on how good it looks. I look forward to Carlisle.
I'd like to have mine done by then but I also don't want to rush it now. I am into my wiring but there is so much more I need to do. Now is not the time for me to rush any work that is left.
This should be a great year at Carlisle. Congratulations on your progress.

I added some more pictures. The body panels are just sitting on there nothing is bolted so they dont quite line up.

Congrats! Wow, what a beautiful color. I was thinking of painting mine in blue as well, but with minimal to no experience what so ever in painting cars I think I will have to settle for the easier applied (so I've been told) black.
As said above, you should be proud!

that is impressive work for a first time never paint b 4. you should be proud of your self.
I know lot of prepers ( guys who gets the car ready before paint) and they do a little painting, but would be lost in such task.
