Post subject: Best Murci Build Out there??  PostPosted: Apr 12, 2010 - 11:16 AM

I'm quite a lurker on here and other replica sites and have followed the murci kit progression all the way since the beginning. However, I just want to know who's build is the best replica out there?

I haven't seen any pics from the 2009 knotts berry farm show and most of the build diaries I follow end up with someone ripping the other person off so the build doesn't get completed.

I actually stumbled on this gem by accident. Its the best example I've seen so far. Anyone know more details on it? Engine? Builder? etc? Thanks

I know there has to be other top notch examples out there. Please post pics/links/info to the cars you think are some of the best builds around. Thanks!

Thats my car, and no worries, I didn't give that other guy the opportunity to rip me off when his build was complete. Most people run out of money before their build is done, but they try to save face by blaming their builder, claiming that "HE" is the one who ripped "THEM" off. They will post pics of work and claim "HE" (the builder) does shoddy work, and say anything they can to turn the focus away from themselves.

Are you sure it is better than Extremes????

He started out with G28 and had to make a LOT of changes to get the masterpiece that you see there

It was a triagle G G28L but tons of work was done to make it accurate. Those molds were sold to Carkitinc in alabama. There are a lot of issues with the car to make it as nice and accurate as the car Mike's car. The doors are not even the same length from one side to the other.

If carkitinc has the g28 molds, is that thier MERCY-1 kit then? If their mercy1 is half as nice as that white car, I'll but from them.

I was thinking it was impossible to reproduce this car from ground up! But yeah miracles can do mechanically with this car. A Lambo built from scratch would be something to have on your garage.

Why would it be impossible? It's not a magic car. Today, anything can be done with $
