After over 5 years of collecting parts, and supplies my build has finally started. I have had tons of help from many, but mostly from Ken Imhoff as he was the big inspiration in my build. Thanks to Ken as I would never even of known where to start. I would of probably been a little further into the build if it were not for the many tools that I have had to purchase over the years which took away from buying parts and supplies. Another problem for me is space..... I dont have any. I live in the city and have a three car garage. My small third car garage is my shop. Wih that in mind it is difficult to get to everything so I have had to put wheels on all of my tools to move them around. I also purchased a wrecked BMW 850CI as a donor car and had to get rid of all of the items I didnt want because it took up one bay of the two car garage. During the beginning of the build I was also deep into some remodeling projects on my home. It was expensive, time consuming and also took up lots of floor space for wood working tools.

Being gone 16 days a month, raising 3 kids, and a list of honey do's I finally have started a few months ago. I find it very relaxing, challenging and on my days off spend hours trying to figure it out how to tackle the next step. Let me know what you think.

John,
You have described my situation to a "T" . You look to have a serious build going there, have you decided on a engine management system yet?

Thanks guys. Since I purchased a wrecked and running 1993 BMW 850CI I will use the OEM Engine Managememt System from it. Everything is there but it will need some modification like cutting or lengthening wires but I know its been done before.

Amazing work! I only wish I was as clean and thorough as you are.
This will be one fantastic build.
